Thanks so much for the lovely South Pembrokeshire Tour. The timeline was well laid out with amazing panoramic and historical stops as well as a few extras along the way. I had an absolutely amazing time and really enjoyed your narrative of the history of the area and places we were able to view. After having been touring Europe the last three months, you receive top ratings from me. In my opinion, being able to step out and really see as well as fully understand the history behind an area or country requires as many opportunities as possible to get out of the vehicle and explore. This tour allowed for that with having a handful of people rather than 25+. The personalised aspect of the tour is something that just can't be topped.
On another note, the personalised service you provided before and while booking this tour are much appreciated. You spent the time organizing a tour with a few other single travellers to make this tour possible and with a very quick turnaround. You went above and beyond to help with transportation to Cardiff as well as accommodation and restaurant recommendations within Cardiff. This helped relieve any pressure on ensuring all was booked and also providing comfort with making reservations and getting around Cardiff.
I have already recommended this service to friends and will continue to do so in the future. I only wish I had more time to book another of your lovely tours. Next time I'm in the UK, I will definitely be heading to Wales to take in another and the only problem would be...which one to pick!

I want to just make a few comments about our recent trip with South Wales Personal Tours. From start to finish we had a terrific time. Our guide's knowledge, energy, and enthusiasm made for an unforgettable trip. He arranged for our lodging and gave us excellent dining options in unique and characteristic locations. In just two days we saw and explored a tremendous number of sites covering millennia of history. We saw places we never would have seen had we arranged for our own touring.
An appropriate schedule was set for our abilities and interests. In addition to sharing an excellent knowledge of the region's history, our guide gave welcome insight into questions about language and current political matters. We have travelled quite a bit in various countries over the years and have never had an experience as well organized and filled with information as this one.
As well, I do believe that for what we received, a personal tour over two days for three of us in one family, the cost was most reasonable.

My husband and I recently booked three tours with 'South Wales Personal Tours'. We were extremely impressed with all aspects of the tours. When making our initial enquiry by e mail I was particularly impressed with the quick response with price information and availability. When arriving in Wales we had confirmation of next day pick up. We were picked up promptly from our hotel each morning. The travel was extremely comfortable.
Our guide was knowledgeable and informative about each site we visited. He was able to recommend additional reading to find out about more information on any of the sites we visited. He was also willing to research any of the questions we had regarding the history and culture on any of the sites. Frequently he would have an answer for us after lunch.

The Waterfalls Tour is one of the most magical tours I have been on!
The waterfalls give you a complex understanding of the Welsh natural surroundings and are exquisite, while the caves display a wide variety of stalagmites and staligtites.
The guide provided me with an excellent overview of the history of Wales, including environmental protection history and a great cross-section of Welsh music.

Personalised. Professional. Personable. Three very good reasons why I'll take another tour with South Wales Personal Tours, on my next trip to Wales.
Single travellers often have to 'make do' when they want to see a country, either joining a group and going where they want to go or trying to figure out how to get someplace alone. South Wales Personal Tours saved me the worries of either of those solutions. My questions were answered quickly and thoroughly, from that first email enquiry, and I always felt that I was just as important as an individual traveller as I'd have been if I were part of a group. They worked with me to ensure that I'd have the best experience possible.
They helped me plan day tours to take me where I wanted to go. I gave them a list of places, and they organized the trips. Even better, I got a local perspective about the places I'd visit. My guide was a most knowledgeable guide-one of the best and friendliest I've ever met, and I've taken tours all around the world. I didn't have to worry about anything, even the smaller details like paying entrance fees, figuring out what was important to see at each place, or just finding the best spots for lunch.
Seeing three different parts of the country on three different days was a fantastic experience, and it also convinced me that I need to return to see even more. Now I know whom to contact when I begin planning my next holiday.
About the Stonehenge Tour:
Although I wanted to see Stonehenge again, I'd never visited Avebury and very much wanted to see the stone circle there, too. The regular tour takes in both places, but I was worried that there wouldn't be much time at the end of the day to see Avebury, which was my main reason for taking this tour. Not a problem. South Wales Pesonal Tours customized the trip so that I'd see the places listed on the regular tour, but I'd have more time at Avebury. I had plenty of time to walk among the stones and take lots of photos, but my guide also pointed out other ancient sites that I would have missed if I'd been on my own. I can't imagine a better day-it was everything I'd hoped for.
About the Valleys Tour:
Imagine having Tintern Abbey almost to yourself early one morning. Or spending hours browsing books at Hay-on-Wye, enjoying a leisurely drive through the Brecon Beacons, wandering through the great hall at Caerphilly Castle while learning of its storied past. Those were highlights of my day tour, personalized to give me the most time where I wanted to be. I wouldn't have wanted to miss anything that day, but having time to browse every single bookshop was a luxury I wouldn't have on any other tour.
About the Gower Peninsula Tour:
As a Doctor Who fan, I wanted to add Dunraven Bay (a former filming site) to the itinerary for my customized Gower Peninsula Tour-while we were already on the road. My guide knew just where to go and managed to fit a photo op into our already full schedule. I was thrilled-and took some good photos to show off back home. It might've been a geeky request, but seeing that beach made my day. That's the difference with a personalized tour. South Wales Personal Tours went out of their way to make sure I had a wonderful trip.

Our tour with South Wales Personal Tours would have involved considerable walking. The day before our tour began, my wife hurt her knee badly and her mobility was extremely limited. With virtually no warning, our guide worked with us to fashion a new itinerary for a tour of the Wye and Usk Valleys which involved very little walking and was neverthless extremely scenic and most enjoyable. He also drove me to a health supplies store where I was able to purchase some crutches for my wife that helped enormously.

Well we're back in Australia now and we just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you so much for a really wonderful day exploring the Brecon Beacons and Caerphilly Castle last week.
It was great to be with such a small group and your knowledge not only of all the history of the sites we visited but your knowledge and obvious love of the land and its wildlife was just outstanding.
It really didn't feel like a tour in the normal sense - we felt like we were being taken sightseeing by a friend and it was without doubt an absolute highlight of our trip. We really enjoyed being able to go for some walks both on the hills and in to see the waterfall - it's such beautiful country. As an environmental scientist, David felt very privileged to have seen a red kite and we would both love to visit Wales again for much longer next time.
Having the selection of Welsh music as we travelled along was fantastic too - the music seemed to 'fit' the type of countryside we were travelling through and added a special ambience and atmosphere to the trip. Although Underworld are a well known Welsh band here, I'll definitely be looking up the Stereophonics! We might even be moved to track down some DVDs of Tommy Cooper's old show that was on TV here many years ago :-)

Three of us took the one day Wye Valley tour. Our guide was a wonderful tour guide, very knowledgeable about Wales and very good at helping you feel how things once were in the old places you visit. The Wye Valley tour was very scenic and we were able to see a good deal of the countryside. Again, our guide gave a lot of helpful information regarding the areas we drove through, giving us a look at the way people actually live there. He also shared a lot of beautiful Welsh music with us. We had a great lunch at a charming little restaurant along the way. I would highly recommend South Wales Personal Tours to anyone who is looking for a perfect way to see something of Wales and the area around Cardiff. Our guide is an absolutely brilliant guy. He has a fantastic sense of humor. Seriously, I haven't laughed so hard in years. I've done a bit of traveling in Europe and have taken several tours.
